Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cafe Supervisor/ Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling cafe in Barton's Point Coastal Park, the boathouse cafe. As the on duty Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a high standard of food quality and presentation.

No prior management or supervisory experience is necessary as this can be taught however some experience in a food or retail setting, at any level, would be preferable. However we are an open minded employer, so if you don't necessarily meet these preferences but think you'd be able to anyway we welcome your application!

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of cafe operations, including basic food preparation, service, and cleanliness
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability while on shift
- Monitor inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the management team to create new menu items and specials
- Maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and employee growth

Requirements:
- Experience is not essential but we would be looking for someone with a great attitude and the desire to work hard.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: 12.00-12.50 per hour
