Cafe Assistant Manager
Job Description
Cafe on the Mound, the busy city centre coffee shop, has a permanent, full-time vacancy to start work immediately. Situated near the top of The Mound the cafe attracts a vibrant trade from tourists, students and locals alike.
The cafe is open Monday to Saturday during the daytime. You will be expected to work a five-day week. Typical cafe shifts are from 7am-3pm or 9am-5pm.
You will be primarily responsible for planning staff rotas, staff supervision, inventory management, hygiene compliance and cash bookkeeping. Other duties will principally comprise general front of house activities, barista work, cleaning and occasional simple food preparation. Previous experience in a hospitality environment is essential,
What we are looking for most of all is someone with enthusiasm and flexibility to work with our diverse and friendly team. Punctuality, reliability and fluency in English are essential. Applications from full-time students will not be considered.
