Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while assisting with various tasks within the cafe. Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their orders. Prepare food items in accordance with food safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events, including food preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, following proper cash handling procedures. Support bartending duties as needed, including serving beverages and maintaining stock levels.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous. A background in hospitality or catering will be beneficial for this role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks within a dynamic setting is highly valued.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.44-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
