Railscape is seeking a detail-driven and tech-savvy
BIM/CAD Technician
to join our dynamic Geospatial Team at our Head Office in Rayleigh. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about digital construction and building information modelling to contribute to innovative infrastructure and surveying projects. You'll work alongside experienced surveyors and engineers, developing 2D and 3D deliverables and supporting our Scan-to-BIM workflows using cutting-edge technology.
Duties:
Produce high-quality 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit
Create and revise 2D drawings using AutoCAD
Develop survey BIM models from point-cloud datasets
Conduct clash detection in Revit and propose practical solutions
Coordinate and manage multiple design projects
Update and maintain drawing records and technical documentation
Support development of BIM standards and team workflows
Collaborate across disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery
Promote best practices and innovation in BIM processes
Ensure quality and compliance with Railscape and client standards
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
Experience working with 3D point-cloud data and Scan-to-BIM workflows
Ability to produce fully coordinated 2D and 3D design deliverables
Excellent attention to detail with an understanding of project-wide implications
Experience in creating and managing drawing sheets
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset
Experience in construction or engineering environments is a plus
