About the role:

Astute\'s Renewables team is partnering with a leading energy service provider who specialises in providing a range of EPC services including the development, construction, and operation of solar power plants within the renewable industry. They are recruiting for a Buyer with renewables experience to work remotely.

The strategically important Renewables Buyer role comes with a salary of up to \xc2\xa350,000, pension contribution, KPI bonus and remote working.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer you will:

\xc2\xb7 Support the team leader in the UK division in procuring equipment, services, and projects.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with global procurement team and colleagues to ensure sharing of key supplier and market information whilst ensuring consistency of approach in procurement strategies.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for managing purchasing processes and procurement systems in the UK.

\xc2\xb7 Management of purchase orders across EPC and O&M business.

\xc2\xb7 Leading supplier pre-qualification and onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers.

\xc2\xb7 Evaluate market trends affecting procurement of key equipment and services.

Professional qualifications:

We are looking for someone with the following:

\xc2\xb7 Degree in relevant accounting or management supply chain subjects or equivalent experience.

\xc2\xb7 Experience in Solar PV or Battery Storage markets.

\xc2\xb7 Previous responsibility for procurement of Solar PV installation subcontractors and/or Battery Storage materials.

Personal skills:

The Buyer role would suit someone who has:

\xc2\xb7 Good understanding of typical contract formats used in EPC and O&M businesses and associated contract negotiation experience.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to develop strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Salary and benefits of the role:

\xc2\xb7 Up to \xc2\xa350,000 annually
