VANRATH are recruiting a Buyer to work for a leading Main Contractor that deliver a range of high quality Building and Civils projects, based in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

Client
Our client is a leading Civil Engineering and Building company delivering high quality construction projects across the UK and Ireland. Innovation, quality, integrity and professionalism are the cornerstones of the business which is renowned for its personal, hands on style.
Role:
- Management and approval of the procurement process
- Approval of invoices for supplier payments
- Ensure that all subcontractors, materials and plant are procured with a delivery, cost and quality mindset
- Developing market knowledge and identifying potential suppliers, subcontractors and value engineering possibilities
- Assess and gather all necessary information to produce comprehensive enquiry packages in line with program requirements
- Compare and evaluate all quotations against scheme budgets and issue order the most advantage quotation
- Assist the Estimating & Commercial department with tender/post tender enquiries when required
- Update supplier information for Site teams to use
- Support site teams through the construction process with take-off of materials etc.
- Experience working as a Buyer
- 3 years\' experience in procurement within the Construction Industry
- Knowledge or experience of working within ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems
- CPIS membership would be desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and improve effective internal and external working relationships
- Good commercial skills and awareness
