Job Description
The purpose of the role is to oversee and manage all procurement activities related to designated material categories for the UK sites cross SBU / functions.
- To implement category strategies to ensure the business works with the best suppliers
- Improve the capability of the supply base in quality, delivery, lean supply, and cost reduction.
- collaborate with Stakeholders and Suppliers on activities to support cost reduction projects.
- Negotiate with suppliers on both existing and new business requirements.
- To lead contract discussions - ensuring formal contracts are in place.
- To deliver Procurement performance against key measures in line with Business Line requirements and take appropriate actions to ensure any shortfalls are recovered.
- To utilise sourcing tools to efficiently manage supplier data and quotation/contract processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with Category Teams and Regional Procurement Management and other functional teams across the business lines, and therefore must possess strong, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates will have excellent analytical and presentational skills, be results-orientated, and maintain high standards.
Experience across Professional Services, HR, Insurance of particular interest but general Indirect Categories all a benefit.

- Working hours are 37\xc2\xbd hours per week * Salary - circa \xc2\xa335000-40000 dependent on experience
