ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Procurement Team. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring the highest quality components, materials, and services required for our antenna production and related projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to understand project requirements and ensure that the procurement process aligns with our company\'s goals and standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and quality management systems to ensure they meet our stringent standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and provide valuable input during the supplier selection process.
• Coordinate with production planning and inventory teams to expedite and optimise material availability and minimise lead times.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
• Regularly update and maintain procurement documentation and records to ensure transparency and traceability.
• Review material demand requirements to ensure component deliveries are scheduled in line with production requirements, reviewing, negotiating and issuing purchase orders and making required changes to documents, schedule and price.

• Strong administration and organisation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail essential.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Experience within a Supply Chain environment preferable.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices preferable.
• Familiarity with multiple in-house systems, specifically ERP or MRP systems preferred.
• A sound understanding of financial concepts in relation to evaluating supplier proposals, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and resolving invoice queries.
• Ability to review data to make informed decisions and prioritise workload.
• Capacity to negotiate favourable supplier terms.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to visit suppliers and attend industry events.
