Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Butchery Assistant / Delivery Driver to join our team. This dual-role position involves assisting within the butchery, including preparing, packaging, and organizing meat products, as well as delivering orders to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist butchers with meat preparation, cutting, portioning, and packaging. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the butchery at all times. Organize and stock fridges, freezers, and workstations efficiently. Load delivery vehicles accurately and safely with prepared orders. Deliver products to customers promptly while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Handle delivery paperwork, payments, and basic record-keeping as needed. Assist with stocktaking and inventory control. Follow all food safety, health, and safety, and company policies. Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods. Good knowledge of local area and navigation skills. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to cleanliness. Previous experience in butchery or food handling (preferred but not essential). Friendly, professional attitude and good communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours:

Typically early morning starts, with some weekend or holiday work required based on demand.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
