We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a passion for delivering high-quality meat products. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meat, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and providing excellent service to our customers.

Duties

Prepare and cut meat according to specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies. Ensure all meat products are stored correctly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. Provide knowledgeable advice to customers regarding different cuts of meat and cooking methods. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meat for menu items. Participate in training sessions on food safety practices and new butchery techniques as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a butcher role or similar position within the restaurant or food production industry is preferred. Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation. Culinary training or certification is advantageous but not essential. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques are required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for quality food and customer service is essential for success in this role.
