We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of culinary techniques, food production, and food safety standards. As a Butcher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers while maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.
Duties
Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher area, including tools and equipment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to butchery and food production.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the culinary or restaurant industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques.
A passion for quality food production and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
