We are seeking to appoint a Business Service Officer to work within the Place Department Information Governance Team to provide solutions and support to a range of activities and be recognised as a main point of contact for senior managers in relation to the requirements of the Access to Information Legislation and Information Governance in general.
You will have responsibility for processing information access requests under the Freedom of Information (FOI) legislation, Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and Subject Access Requests (SAR), ensuring responses to requests for information are within timescales.
You will also advise and support colleagues on compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK General Data Protection Regulation and assist in advising on Council project work through Data Protection Impact Assessments, Sharing Agreements and Privacy Notices.
You will be required to have

\xc2\xb7 A strong commitment to customer service
\xc2\xb7 The ability to be able to work to strict deadlines and timeframes.
\xc2\xb7 Proficient skills in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
\xc2\xb7 The ability to speak fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
