Woodside Logistics Group are looking for a talented graduate to work alongside the in-house finance and analytics team at our headquarters.
With 5G connectivity around the corner, and the internet-of-things revolution well underway, the volume of data being generated has never been greater. Financial data, trucks, warehouses, phones, IT systems and other mobile devices are constantly communicating back and forth.
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for helping to make sense of this data and turn it into useful information that can be presented at all levels of the business to aid decision making. Along the way, you\xe2\x80\x99ll become an Excel wizard, but also work with some newer Microsoft technologies such as Power BI, Power Query and Business Central. You\xe2\x80\x99ll gain a practical knowledge of databases and extracting data through SQL queries. The role will be at the intersection of Finance, IT and Operations and you\xe2\x80\x99ll work closely with all parts of the Group, gaining an excellent understanding of the logistics industry with one of Northern Ireland\xe2\x80\x99s top transport companies.
Woodside Logistics Group employs over 650 people across our various sites, working with many of Northern Ireland and the UK\xe2\x80\x99s most visible and successful companies. We aim to form long-term partnerships with our customers, to ensure they have a reliable and affordable route in and out of key markets in GB. The role helps provide live dashboards and information to allow informed and timely decision making. Internally, we are constantly monitoring key metrics to ensure the operation runs efficiently from an operational and financial point of view.
This role would suit anyone in possession a finance, accountancy, business or IT related degree.
Duties and responsibilities:
Analysis of aspects the company\xe2\x80\x99s P&L, Balance Sheet through dashboards and reports
Help develop reporting on cashflow, budgeting and forecasting
Assist with weekly reporting for each company.
Create and maintain customer dashboards.
Liaise with support function departments such as Payroll, HR, IT, H&S, Workshop to ensure that their reporting requirements are met.
Other ad-hoc tasks to support as required.
Essential criteria:
A business-related undergraduate degree with a minimum 2.1 classification or currently studying a business-related undergraduate degree, on track for at least a 2.1 classification
Desirable criteria:
Analytical and presentation skills
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI
