Durham County Council are seeking to recruit a permanent Business Development Officer to lead the Quality Management Systems team.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

The Business Development Officer will work across all team activities, specifically leading on ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems including developing a new QMS, management of the system, leading on internal auditing, document control, and process/system improvements.

The post holder will be involved in the management of other ISO management systems and standards. The Business Development Officer will lead on the development of standards, policies and procedures across the Corporate Property and Land service in addition to identifying and managing business improvement projects.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

Required Qualifications:

  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a management, building or
construction related subject
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
All applicants should have proven experience managing and leading teams as well as managing ISO 9001 systems and driving business improvement.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

HYBRID WORKING

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
