Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a long standing relationship of ours, a leading UK Retail business in the Doncaster region in their search for a Business Development Manager within the Transport / Haulage sector.

Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager include;

• Create new business opportunities for the Transport function across the UK
• Identify internal opportunities which will enhance the revenue and market growth
• Manage a team of warehousing business development professionals across multiple sites
• Complete autonomy of your diary to balance hybrid working with customer meetings and site visits
• Build, grow and maintain successful customer relationships with both existing and new customers whilst delivering effective sales negotiations to build and increase revenue.
• Lead the tender processes, with the implementation of clear and concise methodologies
• Maintain a full understanding of all services, procedure and standards offered by both the Group and competitors to ensure business can be gained and value added at every opportunity, and they operate within a contract and against agreed terms.
• Meet individual targets set to provide support in meeting both annual Sector and Group targets.

Rapdily Growing SME Business|Excellent Newly Created Position

• Proven track record as a commercial professional withing a logistics or warehousing environment
• Industry specific qualifications are beneficial .
• A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background (Ideally within Transport / Haulage specifically).
• Understanding of and experience in Contract Logistics.
• Understanding of warehouse operations.
• An in-depth knowledge of markets and changing business environments.
• A proven track record of successful national sales & marketing experience within a multi-location logistics, transport & warehousing industry
• Leadership and management of business development
• Be able to commute to Doncaster three times per week
