We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can advance company sales though larges projects complete turnkey controls, automation and E&I solutions in the Life Sciences business vertical.

Main Responsibilities

  • Succeed as a prospecting salesperson (hunter) that creates and wins interesting business opportunities for Industrial Automation and Controls including PLCs, SCADA, control and electrical panels, Digital Solutions to the Life Sciences market vertical. Target project size over \xc2\xa3500K
  • Work to find and investigate opportunities for Mechanical and Electrical turnkey project work including design, engineering, and construction. Target Project size over \xc2\xa310M
  • Use sales processes and curiosity to fully understand the needs of the client and business drivers behind opportunities to close deals.
  • Implement the Business Sales plan achieving defined growth targets and sales quota.
  • Organize and schedule visits with clients to maximize face to face time
  • Identify accounts, key buyers, stakeholders to produce account development plans to support achieving the sales plan and individual targets.
  • Support a team to produce high quality, creative and compelling proposals that are competitive and meet the client\'s needs to win projects
  • Develop a strong understanding of the range of services and portfolio provided especially the Automation, Digital, Service Support function.
  • Build relationships within the technology and distribution partners ensuring a broad knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA and digitalization solutions to ensure our clients receives the best solution for their application
  • Manage and maintain the CRM tool (Salesforce.com) for both accounts and opportunities. Provide regular updates to your sales pipeline as and when requested
Experience & Qualifications
  • Conceptual, consultative, solution sales of Controls, automation and/or Instruments to accounts in Life Sciences, Pharma, Food & Bev, and similar markets
  • Generating leads, developing and winning business to achieve target sales quota
  • Managing sales pipeline and bid process for products and services in \xc2\xa330-\xc2\xa350M funnel
  • Proven track record of selling control systems based on PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS/MES/MIS
  • Understanding of Gamp 5, ISA 95, ISA 88, ISA 99 and related industry standards
  • A broad industry understanding i.e., knowledge of process control & automation engineering/control
  • Knowledge of commercial terms and governance practices of the Life Sciences industry
  • Qualifying, planning and developing accounts and clients to successful conclusion
Qualification Requirements

Degree qualified but not essential depending on experience gained
  • As a minimum, we will accept an HNC/D qualification in electrical/electronic engineering, computer/control systems engineering or other appropriate discipline
  • Sale process training (Strategic Selling, Altify, SPIN, High Impact Sales or similar)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is desirable
