About the Role

We are seeking a Business Data Support Analyst to manage the curation, analysis and processing of data queries in a structured and expeditious manner, to ensure that OUP party data stakeholder queries are resolved within a reasonable amount of time and to a high level of accuracy.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Filter issues or requests which are not within the Service Catalogue of the Business Data Analysis Support team, and redirect these appropriately
  • Maintain a centralised log of all inbound queries to a high level of detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple open items at any given time
  • Monitor queries and ensure they are prioritised appropriately, processed within SLAs, and spot patterns of issues to identify the possibility of more wide-spread problems or co-dependencies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data issue and request management processes, to ensure the services we provide are efficient and effective
  • Support the Business Data Analysis Lead and the Business to analyse data issues or queries thoroughly and to a high standard or detail
  • Collaborate with the wider team and stakeholders to recommend solutions to problems
  • Produce well-written and clear documentation of data issues and preventative actions which will reduce the risk of reoccurrence, passing any actions to appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to check the quality of data across systems, where that quality may be the source of issues, and take action to recommend/undertake data cleansing activity
  • Build strong networks of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the service and communication we provide is of a consistently high level
  • Produce reports and communications to keep stakeholders updated about the work of the team and where requests sit in relative priority, both local to their business area, and across the enterprise
  • Report upon SLAs and KPIs to ensure the Business Data Analysis Support team activity is on time and on target, identifying anomalies or blockers and ensure these are followed up or escalated appropriately
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
