On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst for an initial 10 month contract based in Glasgow with remote work available.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Perform analysis on change requests for transaction management and for all the Trade Processing lifecycle, including capture, matching, settlement, trade reporting and accounting updates.
  • Liaise internal and external with clients to capture and verify business requirements.
  • Act as gatekeeper when allocated, performing initial analysis and gathering high level estimate in order for the change to be presented in the IT system prioritisation groups.
  • Collect business requirement and write appropriate documents for proposed system changes and validate them with stakeholders globally and locally within the Trade Processing world.
  • Gather high level estimates in a timely manner for new business or projects relating to Trade Processing and provide this back to the Product teams.
Responsibilities of the role:

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for:
  • Understand and analyse the needs of the business related to the Trade Processing domain, with the aim of enhancing the operating model with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity\'s strategic plan.
  • Ensure that the solution is compatible with the requirements derived from the business\'s needs and taking in to account the technical requirements for ensuring stability.
  • Act as the contact person within the project or maintenance teams and for the business for data and functional aspects.
  • Test and provide support during implementation of change.
  • Work with the project, business & support and engineering teams to interpret the business need, aid functional analysis and present a solution for new client on boarding and client change using application knowledge to prepare functional requirements specifications.
  • Identify continuous improvements to optimise the processing in the relevant IT systems as required.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Significant experience of the system TradeFlow.
  • Business analyst in the middle office environment and in particular trade processing (full understanding of listed trade life cycle, capture, matching , settlement, accounting)
  • Good market products knowledge (Securities, Equities, FX, Term Deposit)
  • Strong Swift knowledge is key.
  • Proven track record of executing and implementing business change of listed products initiatives through the complete project life cycle.
  • Production of excellent quality analysis and testing documentation.
  • Proven track record of project delivery.
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of a full system implementation and the development lifecycle.
  • Good at building strong working relationships, across all levels of the company and with clients.
