The Role: We are looking for an experienced IT Operations candidate to work in our built environment, overseeing IT Operations success through effective delivery management of our partners. This is encompassing, connectivity, disaster recovery, security, and maintenance of IT infrastructure within our buildings.*

The Role:Providing platform development, deployment, networking and operation skills for new and existing buildings platforms, digital products and services for our customers. This includes traditional network connectivity, topology, Wi-Fi connectivity, CCTV solutions and other security systems consumed by our assets. Managing maintenance, support and administration activities to maximise the quality and security of platforms and services in built environment.*
Advising on operational design practices to maximise operational value, quality and security in built environments.*
Location:This role is based in London, Victoria, and offers hybrid working, with majority of the working week in the office. We recommend discussing arrangements with the hiring manager to find the best fit for both you and the role.
The Team: You will be part of the Data and Technology team, leading on assessment, analysis, planning and design of platforms, including assessment of risk.*
What you will be responsible for: Engages with delivery management colleagues to ensure correct platforms are available, in a timely fashion. Evaluates the quality of project outputs against agreed service acceptance criteria.*
Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change.*
Reviews system software updates and identifies those that merit action. Investigates and coordinates the resolution of potential and actual service problems. Advises on the correct and effective use of system software.*
Manages capacity modelling and forecasting activities. Provides advice to support the design of service components including designing in flexible and scalable capacity. Ensures the correct implementation of standards and procedures.*
Maintains security administration processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Provides guidance in defining access rights and privileges.*
Uses database management system software and tools, and knowledge of logical database schemata, to investigate problems and collect performance statistics and create reports.*
Responsible for creating, improving, and supporting quality IT services with optimal utilisation of storage resources, ensuring data security, availability and integrity of business data.*
Ensures storage and backup systems operate to required service levels. Develops standards, procedures and guidelines for implementing data protection and disaster recovery functionality for all business applications and business data using different online and offline storage devices.*
Maintains the network support process and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses network management software and tools to investigate and diagnose network problems, collect performance statistics and create reports, working with users, other staff and suppliers as appropriate.*
Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services. Determines problem fixes/remedies. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.*
Ensures that incidents are handled according to agreed procedures. Investigates escalated incidents to responsible service owners and seeks resolution. Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents.*
Organises knowledge assets and oversees the lifecycle of identifying, capturing, classifying, storing and maintaining assets. Implements specific knowledge management initiatives.*
