PRACTICE MANAGER
 
We would like to tell you about an exciting opportunity that has arisen for an enthusiastic candidate to join our surgery with a motivated, supportive and well organised practice team.
 
Brunton Place Surgery is a long established, and expanding central Edinburgh (EH7 5EG) practice with a diverse patient population. Situated ten minutes from Waverley Station and a stone’s throw from Calton Hill, we provide high quality clinical care within a friendly and rewarding working environment. 
 
Due to our current practice manager relocating, we are looking to appoint an ambitious, motivated and proactive practice manager, who is able to deliver strategic vision and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have:
 
Experienced leadership and strategic business management skills
Operational and organisational skills for overseeing the day to day management of the practice
Effective team working skills including experience of managing and developing staff
Proven HR skills with knowledge of  current employment legislation
Excellent communication and proficient IT skills
Knowledge of current GP contracts and operating systems desirable
Experience in financial budgeting and having knowledge of PAYE
Prioritisation and decision making skills in an ever changing NHS landscape
Previous experience in Primary Care or NHS setting preferable but open to candidates with comparable experience from other sectors
 
Details of the post:
 
Full time Monday to Friday (competitive salary dependant on experience)
Start date July 2020 (preferable but negotiable)
Managing a dedicated and organised Admin/Reception team
Reporting to GP partners
Excellent GP and practice nursing team including Healthcare Assistant and Pharmacist
Innovative in introducing/promoting IT solutions and support for patients
List size: 9100
GMS practice
