Your role

To ensure that the company complies with its legal obligations with respect to welfare and to investigate any welfare breaches

Provide all agri sites in GB with the required technical services.

• Manage and review the company welfare policy/ SOP\xe2\x80\x99s for the agriculture supply (end to end supply)

• Ensure that monitoring procedures are in place and that corrective actions have been effectively taken through the correct chain of accountability.

• Required to keep records of any action/investigation undertaken to improve animal welfare.

• Ensure compliance with national and EU welfare/ health legislation.

• Report main Key Welfare Indicators (KWI\xe2\x80\x99s) to the senior management team.

• Facilitate all welfare audits

• Ensure that relevant welfare SOP\xe2\x80\x99s are up to date and are effectively trained out to relevant personnel.

• Support the technical and commercial customer leads on welfare issues and customers visits.

• To advise and support hygiene and biosecurity regimes to reduce chemical spend and improve cleaning efficiencies.

• Support the R&D function and involve in any welfare & health key projects

• To develop and implement group agriculture technical plan to deliver continuous improvement against quality, cost and technical KPIs

• Liaise with IS to provide a transparent reporting system to drive the simplification within the current process

• Degree qualification in a relevant animal science and welfare discipline

• Technical experience at management level in the animal health and welfare sector

• Solid understanding of poultry welfare/animal welfare
