Job Title: Social Worker - North and West Community Team

Division: Adult Social Care

Candidate Pay Rate: GBP 32.00 Per Hour

Start Date: 12 Feb 2024 | Likely End Date: 24 Apr 2024

Job Summary:

We are seeking two dedicated and experienced Social Workers to join our team as agency staff for the North and West Community Team 2 at Bristol City Council. This role is based in Southmead, Bristol, and offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the field of Adult Social Care.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake statutory duties under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act 2014.
Conduct assessments and reviews of service users aged 25+ and their carers.
Participate in the team duty rota, providing essential coverage as required.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive and effective support for service users.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of Adult Social Care policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to data protection guidelines.
Possess the ability to work autonomously while contributing to the overall success of the team.
Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of social work.
Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with relevant certifications.
Experience in Adult Social Care and a strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2014.
Ability to undertake assessments and reviews in accordance with statutory obligations.
Ideally, previous experience working for Bristol City Council, though not essential.
A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle, as the role involves travel for home visits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
