Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with experience in constructing and repairing structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively on various construction projects.

Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials according to specifications and design plans. Construct walls, arches, and other structures by following blueprints and architectural drawings. Mix mortar and other bonding agents to ensure proper adhesion of bricks. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing masonry materials. Perform repairs on existing brickwork, including repointing and replacing damaged bricks. Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and welders on-site to achieve project goals. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Skills

Proficient in bricklaying techniques with a solid understanding of masonry principles. Experience using power tools such as saws, drills, and mixers relevant to masonry work. Ability to work with hand tools including trowels, chisels, and levels. Knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous for projects involving brickwork on roofs or similar structures. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during construction. Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Pay: 150.00-180.00 per day
