The ideal candidate for this role will be confident, friendly, and well organised. They should be energetic, enthusiastic and compassionate, with a natural ability to connect with children and lead a team. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to balance assertiveness with a sense of fun and engagement.
A keen awareness of safeguarding and health and safety is also critical to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Pay:
27,000 per annum
With 1,500 annual bonus

Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and manage a team of Playworkers to deliver a safe, inclusive, active and fun Breakfast and After School Clubs provision
Uphold Activ Camps' and the host school's Behaviour Management policy, encouraging the children's social and emotional development, ensuring the best possible outcome for all
Oversee all club activities and timetabling, ensuring that they are run in line with our Activity Operating Procedures (AOPs) and to the highest standard possible
Promote and uphold Activ Camps' Safeguarding Policy, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to ensure the wellbeing of all children in maintained
Coordinate safe, timely set-up and pack-up of activities, adhering to Activ Camps' procedures to maintain safety and efficiency
Oversee equipment storage and organisation ensuring resources are cared for and accessible
Oversee food ordering, storage, preparation and serving, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained
Manage Playworkers, providing support and guidance to promote the best performance possible, as well as recording and reporting attendance and lateness
Create a positive and inclusive and professional atmosphere among staff, children, parents/carers and wider stakeholders to ensure a positive experience for all
Communicate effectively with children, parents/carers, Playworkers, Head Office and school staff
Essential Attributes
18 years or older and have the right to work in the UK.
Experience in childcare, education or sports coaching
Confident in leading and motivating a team.
Enthusiastic, organised, reliable and trustworthy.
Have a fun and approachable manner with children and young people.
Professional demeanour, able to work under pressure, and prioritise safety at all times.
Preferred Attributes
Hold an Enhanced DBS Check for the Children's Workforce.
Hold a Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
Hold a Level 1 or 2 Food Safety and Handling certificate.
Safer Recruitment & Training
This role is subject to the successful completion of an online interview and trial shift. Candidates will also be required to provide two references appropriate to childcare and be able to hold a suitable Enhanced DBS Check.
Candidates who are offered the position will be required to complete a two four hour paid on site training programme at our established Breakfast and Afterschool Club in Tooting.
Additionally, successful applicants must complete, on paid time, a series of certified training courses.
