The Role

We're on the hunt for badass Early Morning Bread Bakers to fire up our kitchen. You'll start early (around 7 AM), kneading, shaping, and baking the bread and dough that fuel our iconic Detroit-style pizza. Your shift will run until around 2 PM--meaning your workday wraps up just in time to soak up the afternoon. If you've got a love for craft baking, precision, and that early morning grind, you'll fit right in.

Responsibilities

? Mix, proof, and bake doughs according to The Detroit Slice's house recipes.
? Ensure consistent quality--our thick, fluffy crusts are the backbone of our brand.
? Maintain clean, organized baking stations (we run a tight ship).
? Prep ingredients, manage oven timings, and monitor dough fermentation like a pro.
? Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure daily product needs are smashed out.
? Handle morning deliveries and ingredient stock checks with sharp attention to detail.
? Stick to food safety and hygiene standards--no shortcuts, no compromises.
? Bring the energy! If there's a camera rolling for a cheeky behind-the-scenes post, you're not shy to jump in.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in baking, pastry, or professional kitchens is a serious plus but not essential. Ability to manage early starts (7 AM sharp) and maintain top energy through to 2 PM. Grit, hustle, and pride in your craft--you care about every single loaf you pull out the oven. Team player attitude with great communication skills. A passion for food, community, and good vibes.
