Davey Grover Limited is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a

Bookkeeper and Payroll Apprentice

! This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is starting their career, especially those who have recently completed their studies. You'll receive hands-on training in bookkeeping, payroll, and administration while working towards gaining your AAT qualification after a year of on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for clients, process transactions, and reconcile accounts.

VAT Returns:

Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Payroll:

Help process monthly payrolls for clients, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payments.

Administrative Support:

Answer phone calls and provide administrative assistance when needed, ensuring smooth operations within the office.

General Assistance:

Assist the finance team with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.

What We're Looking For:

A keen interest in finance and accountancy, with a desire to learn and develop your skills. Attention to detail and a passion for accuracy in your work. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. A positive attitude and the eagerness to start a career in accountancy. Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office) or willingness to learn and improve. No previous experience required--just a strong interest in the role and a drive to succeed.

What We Offer:

AAT Qualification:

After a year of on-the-job training, you will work towards gaining your AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
