We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of our organisation and requires proficiency in various accounting software.
Duties
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Prepare financial reports to assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with external auditors as required.
Utilize accounting software such as Sage to manage financial data efficiently.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding financial practices.
Run weekly and monthly pay runs utilizing sage payroll.
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is essential.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
