to join our well respected, small but busy family run funeral business. This position would ideally suit an individual with all round experience in accounts, bookkeeping and purchase/ sales ledger and ideally have experience with Quickbooks Online.
Duties will include:
General accounting practices and office administration
Raising / paying invoices
Dealing with charitable donations - collating and sending to charities
Banking
Assisting the Funeral Directors with administration.
You will also be the main first point of contact handling incoming calls of which will include taking 'First Call' information when a death has occurred (full training will be given) therefore must demonstrate a caring and compassionate manner.
Duties will also include assisting with 'Chapel visits' therefore seeing deceased patients will be necessary.
Qualifications :
Experience with Quickbooks is preferred and must be familiar with Microsoft Word / Excel.

The successful applicant will be of smart appearance with no visible body art / piercings (other than a minimum number of earrings.
Demonstrate compassion, empathy and patience.
Be confident and professional when dealing with clients both face to face and by telephone.
Primarily you will be based at our Dereham office but would consider being based at our Bradenham office.
Salary:
Starting salary of 28275 - 29250 / per year for a 37.5 hour week dependent on experience.
25 days annual leave plus statuary bank holidays.
