Location: Reading, RG6, we may consider a hybrid working system (home/office) for this role!
Salary: \xc2\xa325,000 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa332,000 per year (DOE)
Job type: Permanent, Full time.
The Role:
We are Carbon Accountancy; we are now recruiting and we want you!
We are an exceptionally skilled accountancy practice with offices in London, Reading and Dublin. We are now looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in our Reading office!
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a bookkeeping role.
- A good understanding of Sage 50, QuickBooks or Xero would be advantageous
- Be dependable, fluent in English,
- Ability to manage your own time and demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
- An eye for detail whilst being able to prioritise your work to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, expense claims, bank payments and receipts
- Liaise with clients/suppliers \xe2\x80\x93 responding to finance related enquiries
- Credit control of overdue accounts
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Reconcile trade debtors and trade creditors
- Post PAYE and other journals
- Prepare VAT returns
- Identify potential VAT and PAYE problems and bring to a manager\xe2\x80\x99s attention
- Providing support to senior members of staff
- Visit clients occasionally in their premises
- Pension after 3-month probation period.
- 20 days + bank holidays!
