We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable part-Time Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting the company's overall financial health.
This position is currently part-time, with the potential to become full-time. It is based in Bolton. The salary ranges from 23,000 to 26,000 (FTE), depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct journals, ledgers, and subsidiary accounts
Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile other financial discrepancies
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare monthly financial reports
Maintain historical financial records by filing and organising documents
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role
Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Minimum AAT level 3 or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
Experience in accountancy practice
Familiarity with Sage payroll systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
