Job IntroductionAs a BeMS/BMS / HVAC Engineer at Sodexo, you'll play a key role in delivering a reliable and responsive maintenance service across the Wythenshawe and Buccleuch Lodge hospital sites. Supporting the Mechanical Supervisor and Operations Manager, you'll ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of BeMS, HVAC, and engineering systems, including boiler controls, air handling units, chillers, heating, and DHW systems. Beyond maintenance, you'll contribute to small-scale projects, assisting with specifications, procurement, and implementation.Join Sodexo and be part of something greater.   • Ensure effective operation of BeMS/HVAC systems, liaising with the Mechanical Supervisor.
  • Manage daily HVAC workload, ensuring KPI targets are met.
  • Conduct regular system checks, logging performance data and identifying faults.
  • Adjust BeMS/HVAC settings to maintain environmental conditions and restore original settings after short-term adjustments.
  • Diagnose and resolve reactive maintenance issues, including alarms and technical faults.
  • Maintain communication with the Helpdesk and management regarding system performance and issues.
  • Participate in on-call rosters and provide cover for the Mechanical Supervisor during leave or absence.
  • Assist with contract documentation, risk assessments, safety programs, and permit-to-work systems.
What you bring:
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of BeMS/HVAC systems, fault diagnosis, and maintenance.
  • Ability to analyse system performance data and produce trend reports.
  • Experience working with planned maintenance programs and statutory compliance.
  • Competency in safe working practices, including confined spaces, pressure systems, and electrical safety.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team and support knowledge sharing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.
