Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse wanting to make a real difference? We are seeking a Bladder and Bowel Nurse Specialist to join our team supporting caseloads across the South East with this unique and rewarding opportunity to deliver expert patient care, empower patients and shape the future of continence services.



This rewarding role will enable the post holder to grow and enhance Community skills within a Specialist area alongside the wider MDT in both clinic settings and visiting patients in their homes.



You will be involved in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programmes for individuals, alongside teaching and supporting both staff and carers.



We currently have opportunities across the Organisational Geographical footprint would welcome any queries and visits prior to application.



You will be responsible for conducting clinics, managing a caseload of patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction, and carrying out domiciliary visits. This will include assessing and supporting patients to optimise their quality of life living with a bladder and/or bowel condition, carrying out holistic continence assessments, and advising on self-management programmes and management options.



We also provide ongoing education programmes and support to other healthcare professionals/workers and promote excellence in continence nursing care.



You will need to able to drive with a full UK licence due to the geographic area covered by the team.

As a registered nurse the post holder is required to adhere to NMC standards and guidelines of practice, education and conduct. The post holder is a member of the Bladder & Bowel Service and responsibilities will include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care programmes for individuals without direct supervision. The post holder will regularly deputise for the Bladder & Bowel Specialist Nurse Team Leader. The post holder will be expected to teach and support programmes of care to qualified/unqualified staff and formal/ informal carers.
