Salary: From \xc2\xa327,500 - depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Location: 40 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7AW - full-time in the office

What are we looking for?
The Billing Officer will support a culture of continuous improvement whilst maintaining high standards within the billing function. The successful candidate will need to be a positive team player, who is able to prioritise work and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities. They will have previous billing experience within a UK private hospital environment including submitting accurate invoices to patients, private medical insurers, and other funders.
What will your duties include?
Provide and maintain an efficient billing service in line with billing agreements and department targets. This involves performing billing reviews, claim submission, dealing with account queries and other billing related activities
Support the continual development of processes and procedures to improve efficiency
Develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Resolve Healthcode errors and work with other teams to resolve ongoing issues.
Review unbilled accounts for claim submission and statement processing.
Follow up issues preventing the Billing team from completing billing review.
Ensure self-pay packages are accurately reviewed, relevant visits bundled, request and update missing pricing information etc.
Calculate net package charges on complex high value accounts.
Calculate and apply uplift fees as appropriate.
Perform client monthly billing review for NHS and other corporates.
Complete specialty billing (NHS, Concierge, Health Screening etc.) reviews.
Handle telephone, mailbox, and Patient Portal queries.
Request account adjustments and refunds.
Ensure compliance with company and governing body policies & procedures.
Act as a representative to the organisation on all billing issues.
What we need from you?
Possess strong attention to detail skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Good Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) skills,
Must have good numeracy skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
Ability to establish and maintain good professional relationships, both internally and externally.
Ability to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations in a calm and confident manner.
Previous Billing/Admin experience within a private hospital essential\xe2\x80\x8b
Experience working within a Healthcare environment with large private medical insurance companies highly desirable
Knowledge of EDI claim/invoice submission process desirable
Minimum GCSE/High School Diploma or equivalent
