Advice Direct Scotland currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our growing organisation.
You will be responsible for securing significant commercial contracts as well as contracts with local authorities, Scottish, Welsh and UK Governments and other funding bodies.
Working on every element of the bid writing process, we require someone with the ability to produce and compile bespoke, high quality, and engaging PQQ and tender submissions that meet our needs and aspirations.
Once bids/tenders are won we will require someone who will help arrange the planner requirements for all departments to ensure our promises are kept.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong creative writing and verbal presentation skills with experience of producing submissions that sell the business
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand the requirements of the potential client, our competitors and the sector they are in. Be able to produce documentation and responses that demonstrate a sound understanding and technical knowledge.
Proactively research partnership opportunities to enhance competitiveness and capability in funding applications .
Effectively co-ordinate and liaise with clients, internal teams to develop and write bespoke, high quality, engaging, successful submissions that demonstrate a clear understanding of PQQ and ITT questions
Write clear, focussed and logical proposal material and any other business development documentation ensuring consistency of style, content and message
Produce specific case studies for supporting submissions
Review responses against the scoring matrix and criteria provided
Prepare and deliver persuasive bid presentations to prospective clients' pre and post tender
Utilising Salesforce CRM to ensure all opportunities are tracked and delivered on schedule.
Maintain the Bid Pipeline process and Bid Library
Ad hoc duties as required.
Skills/Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:

Good business acumen.
Educated to Degree level
Desirable:
Minimum of two years direct experience of proposal, bids and tender writing within a fast-paced environment
Understanding of the bid process
Working knowledge of electronic tender platforms
Desk top publishing skills
