Job Description
Astute are proud to be partnered with one of the industry leaders in hazardous waste management in the UK and Europe. Due to increased business and growth, they are looking for a Bid Manager to support with the preparation and coordination of complex waste management solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Bid Manager you will be responsible for:
- To manage and lead bid responses, across multiple sites, for specific radioactive projects
- Follow best practice bid lifecycle management
- Maintain relevant records and follow correct procedures
- Control bid submissions, including timescales and expectations to ensure full compliance is followed for internal and external bid requirements
- Manage the bid team as well as supporting technical teams to ensure bids are submitted to time and quality expectations
- Liaise with customers through effective management of opportunities and progress to contract award
- Responsible for preparing a formal response "the Proposal" to each customer enquiry
- Other duties as required
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Experience in a technical bid manager role within a regulated industry
- Experience of working for clients in commercial setting
- 2-3 years\' experience writing bids and proposals
- Scientific/ Engineering background
