About the role:
We are looking to hire a Business Development and Marketing Manager to lead our team in the London Energy & Infrastructure practice!
The team are regularly ranked as the No1 firm for renewables work and advise on some of the biggest and most strategic mandates in the energy and infrastructure sectors globally.
This role will lead the work of the practice, which includes pitching, events, practice marketing (CVs, credential requests, training, group updates), publications and opportunity spotting and will involve the daily line management of two advisors.
A focus of this role is working in partnership with the Managing Relationship Partners for UK Government. This will involve supporting the team to drive revenue growth and protect existing mature revenue streams, act as an ambassador for cross-selling, intelligence sharing, identification of new opportunities and winning new business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Business Development
Package and promote the firm\xe2\x80\x99s expertise across products and assets, providing the marketing collateral necessary to cross sell our expertise to partners internally and to clients externally.
Use available sources to spot potential new sources of work for the practice and proactively share opportunities with the practice.
Provide tools to enable lawyers to pursue new business leads and to share market developments with clients \xe2\x80\x93 including the maintenance of asset pipelines across energy. Develop a communications plan for dissemination.
Support the practice initiatives relating to client targeting, product specific business development and profile raising including the use of social media and PR Management of social media channels (eg LinkedIn) to raise visibility of Linklaters achievements in the energy and infrastructure space. Liaison with the PR team to ensure external communication of messaging and opportunities for press commentary are being sought and ensure the En&In MBD team are sharing opportunities for media releases
Lead on 1-2 of the global practice priority areas; disseminate information, work with the global associate group, consider appropriate press and publications and thought leadership, share key trends and hot topics, assist with client presentations and trainings.
Client development and relationship management (CRM)
Lead the relationship with UK Government, including all reporting lines and pitching. Lead on 1-2 of the practice key clients as part of the wider firm client focus.
Responsibility for supporting all aspects of the client experience framework/account management for UK Government clients, including supporting the development of the client strategy and objectives, best practices, identification and targeting of opportunities, horizon scanning for new opportunities.
Management of pitches for key CRM clients, working with the Strategic Pitch team where necessary.
We are ideally looking for:
Experience of, or interest in the developing energy and infrastructure markets.
Confidence and ability to advise at partner level and manage expectations at all points.
Previous BD & Marketing experience in professional services.
Experience in pitching and creating client documents to tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
Experience in CRM for key clients.
Understanding of a partnership environment.
This role is based at the Linklaters London office with a hybrid working model available.
