We are looking for an experienced barista who understands premium coffee, latte art and excels in customer service. Our core products are premium pastries baked fresh all day every day and a provision of premium coffee. Our products are baked and prepared in store in total view of our customers so that they can experience the process and theatre of preparation, attention to detail and the final baked goods that they will be purchasing, therefore you must be comfortable with operating in front of the customer. Your skill in preparing premium coffee is essential to complement our fine pastries and the customer should be able to experience that

We are looking for candidates who are flexible to work morning/opening or afternoon/closing shifts, with a high sense of responsibility and high levels of hygiene. If you would like to show your commitment, then this company will reciprocate by offering you opportunities to grow organically.

Responsibilities

Preparation of premium coffee using our advanced barista espresso machines. Monitoring stock and limiting/managing waste on a daily basis to increase efficiency. Working knowledge of our core product and its allergens. Ability to upsell and engage with customers at all times. Communicating with the central production unit to ascertain what is required to ensure stock never runs out. Working together with the other teams within the shop to discuss baking quantities. Adhering to health and safety standards and maintaining hygiene and sanitary surfaces at all time. Selling pastries and making coffees to ensure that all levels of demand/busy periods are met. Liaise with the head chefs to understand the level of quality required.
Requirements

Experience in making all types of coffee at an efficient pace Experience in customer facing environments in food and beverage Able to speak fluent English. Other language proficiency is a bonus Level 2 Hygiene certificate. Willingness for continuous learning on the job. Flexibility to work in all locations of the company. In depth knowledge of sanitation principles. Able to work under pressure and manage large crowds. Knowledge of working ingredients and their allergens.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
