Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service will be key to enhancing their experience at our establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to food safety guidelines. Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently, while providing recommendations when needed. Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate processing of payments. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery. Keep the cafe environment clean and inviting, including seating areas and restrooms. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.

Requirements

Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards in food preparation areas. Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition to assist customers effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
