Duties
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends while catering to guest preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with health regulations.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Assist in planning special events or themed nights that enhance the dining experience.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and presentation standards.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes that delight guests.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
