Join an internationally renowned arts and cultural charity as a Bar and Hospitality Manager. Set within a listed building, they welcome over 100,000 visitors at over 250 events yearly.
THE ROLE:
- You will oversee the day-to-day management of the bar and liaise with evening operations and the event team.
- Be responsible for ordering bar supplies and stocktaking processes.
- Work as Bar Supervisor across events and Duty Manager across standalone bar events.
- Ensure daily checklists are complete and resolve any issues.
- Liaise with event coordinators on margins, expected capacity and operational times.
- Induct and supervise bar staff on the responsible sales of alcohol and health and safety.
- Ensure the bar is profitable and assist with the finances, such as setting up tills, approving supplier invoices etc.
- 37.5 hours per week, with evening and weekend work as required.
**Please note this is a Bar Management role. It is NOT appropriate for people who have only served drinks behind the bar (eg. cocktail makers and bar attendants).**
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years in bar/hospitality management.
- Experience with bar/till management software.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and controlling operating costs.
- It is desirable if you are a personal license holder, have first aid qualifications, and/or event management experience.
A DBS check will be required for this role.
