We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar.
The salary offered is based on a 42 hour working week, although this is negotiable to suit the correct candidate.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and team management, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Supervise and train bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring high standards of quality.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and controlling stock to minimise waste.
Develop and implement innovative drink menus that align with current trends in the hospitality industry.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations within the bar area.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service during busy periods.
Monitor bar operations to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment.
Monitor customer behaviour, & maintain high standards of behaviour throughout the bar area.
Skills
Proven experience in a bar management role is essential.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and financial reporting is beneficial.
