Job Description

We are looking for a confident and hard-working individual to join our amazing team here at The Tavern in Tansley. We're looking to hire someone to be part of the management team as we head into our busy time of year, who can help the manager and assistant manager with the day to day running of the business, lead our team through events, all while providing our regular customers with the same level of high quality service we're known for!

Applicants must be over 18.

Key roles and responsibilities:

Running the bar and restaurant through busy service periods, including evenings and weekends. Serving drinks to customers, including hot drinks from the coffee machine (training provided). Taking food orders, and serving meals across our bar, restaurant, front garden, and terraced beer garden. Keeping track of the stock levels and informing management of discrepancies. Keeping all areas tidy during service, including cleaning tables between customers, polishing and wrapping cutlery, restocking condiments, and clearing plates in the kitchen. Be responsible for the opening and closing of the bar, including cash management, unlocking, and end of day safety checks.

Relevant Experience

:

The ideal candidate will;

Have prior experience in hospitality, preferably in a bar/restaurant environment. Have prior experience in a team leader or supervisory role, including keyholder positions. Be comfortable using technology in the workplace, such as till systems, emails, and booking systems. Have prior experience in cash handling/safe management. Have excellent communication skills, and is confident in handling queries, complaints, and any other feedback from customers and staff.

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
