About You
We have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join our teams at St Gwynllyw and Phoenix Day Centres. The centres are Specialist Education and Care Day Services for individuals with a Learning Disability and other complex needs, whilst a related qualification is desirable, it is not essential. Support will be given once in the role to gain all relevant qualifications.

The role includes:
You'll support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI, profound multiple learning disabilities and mental health
You'll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives
You'll give high-quality support tailored to people's needs
You'll do activities like cooking, art or listening to music. There is of course practical support too and helping people to reach their goals in smaller ways. You'll manage medication, shopping, health needs and hygiene as well as keep things tidy and safe
And of course, you'll follow our procedures, so we give consistent, safe, and reliable care and support

Providing education and organisational support to the Head of Education and Social Development in planning, monitoring, assessing and managing learning activities
Guiding service users during structured and non-structured sessions and assist each service user to achieve their full potential
Working alongside staff from the Fieldbay Clinical teams, where appropriate, to support the inclusion of all service users, encouraging them to become more independent and to provide support for their welfare.
The successful applicant will have energy and enthusiasm with the ability to use their initiative to support learning and behaviour in fun and creative ways. Candidates should have a real passion and commitment to join an expanding, successful education and healthcare service.
You will complete shift records and paperwork, to ensure a robust handover.
You will be asked to attend team meetings, supervisions and appraisals actively taking a role in your own continuous professional development
Licence/Certification: All Staff must complete the SCW Induction and register with Social Care Wales within six months.
An enhanced DBS will be required for all successful candidates.
Essential Skills
Good general education
Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference
Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve
Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
A commitment to undertake training and development
Desirable Skills
QCF Level 2 or above in Health and Social care
Previous experience within social care setting and experience within profound multiple learning disabilities
Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities
Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks
A full driving license with no more than 3 endorsement points, held for more than 2 years is desirable for this role, along with experience of driving safely and competently.
