The Role
As part of a multi-disciplinary team with an emphasis on quality patient care, you will provide the highest standards of care to our patients. You'll work alongside clinical colleagues and optometrists delivering diagnostics, pre assessment and post operative ophthalmic care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert scrub assistance during complex ophthalmic surgical procedures
Lead and coordinate ophthalmic theatre activities, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources
Maintain a sterile field and handle specialized ophthalmic instruments with precision
Anticipate ophthalmic surgeons' needs during procedures
Conduct pre and post-operative checks to ensure patient safety
Mentor and supervise junior scrub nurses and practitioners
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
Contribute to staff education and training programmes
Assist with the development of theatre protocols and standard operating procedures
Requirements
Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
Previous experience in an Theatre, minimum of one year
Have knowledge in private and operation settings.

Pay: 21.00-29.00 per hour
