We are looking for a professional, ambitious & confident Registered Nurse to join our team on a bank basis, providing night cover when necessary.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated. Able to work on their own initiative and as part of our team, to provide personalised support for adults with learning disabilities, helping them to lead meaningful, productive lives and participate fully within their local community.

The candidates must demonstrate an understanding towards vulnerable groups and aspire to make a difference.

You will be helping people live life to the full; developing positive relationships with team members and those you support is a key part of your responsibilities. Everyone is an individual and the support you provide must align to this need.

Duties to include:

Providing leadership to the shift to ensure the individuals living at Gibraltar Road Nursing Home and staff are fully supported, this involves delegating tasks, appointments, general duties and outreach. Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records. Monitoring and assessing peoples' health status and progress and actioning any declines. Communicating effectively with people who use the service, families, and healthcare professionals Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Managing medication including dispensing, administering, stock check, ordering medication and contacting the GP or pharmacy regarding medication. Organising admission and discharge from hospital. Being involved in personal cares and skin management. Monthly observations and monthly evaluations of risk assessments and care plans.

Must have:

Fully qualified, Registered Nurse with an active NMC Pin. Experience working with an adult mental health client group. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983. An understanding of latest nursing practices. Proven experience in a Nursing Home/Care Home or similar healthcare setting. Excellent clinical and organisational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Clear DBS Check.
You will be working alongside our support workers whilst being supported by the clinical lead and manager with those we support on a needs led basis and delivering specific support needs alongside the person's care plan.

Pay: 16.89-19.70 per hour
