Bank Ophthalmic Technician

The role

As an Ophthalmic Technician you will have current experience working in a hospital environment and ideally hold or studying towards a Level 3 NVQ in Healthcare. You will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both written and oral. Duties will involve providing support to the nursing team. You will assist the consultants with patients particularly in the Ophthalmology Department with the provision of supplies. You will be hard-working, enthusiastic and flexible in your approach. This is a demanding role requiring professionalism, commitment and a good team spirit. You will be required to support increased activity in Ophthalmology Department and to train and develop existing outpatients staff.

What you will bring with you

Current experience as an Ophthalmology Technician/Healthcare Assistant in a hospital environment (essential)

Experience within an Outpatients and Ward Department (ideal)

Level 3 NVQ in Healthcare (ideal) or studying towards

A warm, considerate and empathetic character

The ability to make decisions and use your initiative

Strong communication skills

Passion to deliver excellent care in a rewarding and what can be emotionally challenging environment

A flexible and positive attitude
