: Permanent, minimum of 30 hours per week, shifts falling between 6am and 11pm.







As a Bakery Assistant, your primary responsibilities will focus on packaging our baked goods, ensuring they are ready for display, and assisting customers with their purchases. You'll be a key part of our front-of-house operations, ensuring our products are presented beautifully and are available to customers in a timely manner. You may also support with the finishing touches of some baked goods. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a bakery or food retail environment, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING...





Package and label baked goods including bread, cakes, pastries, and other items for sale. Ensure all products are presented attractively and meet the bakery's quality standards. Assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, answering questions about products and offering recommendations. Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the till or POS system. Keep the sales area clean, organized, and well-stocked with available products. Assist in maintaining product inventory, including monitoring stock levels and restocking as necessary. Ensure proper storage and handling of bakery items to maintain freshness. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following all food safety guidelines. Support the team with other tasks as needed, including cleaning and replenishing display items.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a bakery, cafe, or retail environment is required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Ability to handle cash and operate a till or POS system. Strong attention to detail, especially in packaging and product presentation. Good organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Positive attitude, with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
