Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes. Ensure all baked items meet quality standards in taste, appearance, and freshness. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings. Assist in food preparation tasks as required, ensuring efficient workflow within the kitchen. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, performing routine maintenance as necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is essential, with a focus on baking preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards. Proficiency in various cooking techniques related to baking and food preparation. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
