Back Office Administrator



We're looking for driven and proactive individuals to join our fast-moving and supportive

Metering team

Please note, this is an office-based role and not a Meter Reader position.

What you'll be doing



Ensure accurate data processing:

Validate and review all received meter readings, monitor quality, and resolve any discrepancies

Resolve meter read issues:

Identify and fix skipped readings to improve future accuracy

Deliver excellent customer service

: Quickly understand customer needs and provide efficient, proactive support

Collaborate with colleagues:

Contribute to team goals, share knowledge, and continuously improve processes

Take ownership of customer queries:

Handle them efficiently, understand complex issues, and escalate when necessary

Support other business areas:

Assist with queries and work cross-functionally when required

Drive process improvements:

Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains

Solve problems proactively:

Use initiative to address challenges and improve workflows

Analyse data effectively:

Identify discrepancies, review key information, and ensure accuracy

Communicate clearly and confidently

: Engage in both written and verbal interactions with customers and colleagues

Adapt to business needs:

Take on additional responsibilities as required

What you'll bring to the role



Experience in utilities, finance, or banking is a plus, but not essential - we're open to all backgrounds. Account reviews, reporting, or investigation experience would be beneficial Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and work towards team goals Strong literacy and numeracy skills with a customer-first mindset Strong admin skills and comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems Highly organised, adaptable, and able to juggle tasks while working both independently and as part of a team Great at negotiating and building relationships Willing to take ownership of learning and development A degree is a plus, but what matters most is attitude and skills
