What you'll bring to the team:

Location: Chessington World of Adventures Resort Leatherhead Road Chessington Surrey KT9 2NE



Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are recruiting for an AV Venue Controller, to join our Technical Services Creative team.



In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all technical systems, including sound, lighting, video, and staging. You'll also liaise with external vendors to ensure smooth integration of entertainment production and collaborate with the Creative Team to support theming and resort-wide effects. Your technical expertise will provide vital support for year-round entertainment events and seasonal offerings.



As the key liaison for external vendors, you'll ensure the seamless integration of staging and production needs for seasonal entertainment. You'll be an integral part of our Technical Services team, collaborating with the Creative Team to support resort-wide effects and theming, bringing our entertainment experiences to life year-round.



This role is fixed term until 31st December 2025, working up to 40 hours per week which will include some evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Working hours are negotiable.


Qualifications & Experience:
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience working as a technical role in a themed environment, entertainments or events venue with knowledge of audio-visual equipment Strong knowledge of lighting and sound Basic electrical knowledge and electronic fault finding is essential Knowledge of Working at Height, Rigging, Manual Handling, DMX systems and network audio Experience with QSYS and Alcorn McBride is preferable however training can be provided Safety focus; experience of contractor management, completing risk assessments, safe systems of work and method statements Full UK Driving Licence is desirable

Pay Range: GBP 13.32/Hr.
